To Sabotage or not, that is the question.

I've got a pretty good little bankroll, and have some decent gpt coming in. The Chinese are about to build the SETI program. If I can stop them, I'll definitely get it first, but the only way that will happen is through sabotage.

Here is the question: how much is it worth to do it? The cost is from 4k (small chance) to 10k (good chance). Is it worth blowing 10k? Or should I just use the cash to upgrade the rest of my tanks and infantry for my assault on Rome? If I pay the $10k, it will delay my assault for a few turns.

If you can get to this far, chances are you don't really need the SETI. So my recomendation: KILL! KILL! KILL! Let them build it, you can always capture it when you "need" it.

also remember, the cost for sabotage goes up every turn, so if you don't have enough now, you probably won't have enough later.

The problem is that the Chinese have their own continent, and I have almost no navy (I was landlocked until I waxed Aztec and Germany).

However, I woke up to the obvious -- fight a war with the Romans & keep attacking the weakest units with my elite troops until I get a GL & rush it.

FYI, it worked! Now, I just need to get a few ICBMs to nuke China (to prevent them from building the Spaceship) after I crush France . . .

Yeah, true. I've attempted to sabotage several wonder projects only to find on the turn before I calculated they should be done it costs like 100,000 gold to sabotage and I have only a small fraction of the gold to spend on it.
