Hey everyone. This is my first post on the forum.

I've made my first mod recently, the Toltec Civilization mod. It adds in the Toltec Civilization ruled by Quetzalcoatl. Their two uniques are the Atlant replacement for the Monument and the Atlantean Warrior replacement for the Warrior. All in all I have the basic structure complete.

There are however a few problems with the mod:
*The special trait for some reason won't appear at all in the game.
*When selecting The Toltecs from the normal civilization selection screen it goes to the menu background instead. You can get away from it by clicking "esc". You can however select The Toltecs from Advanced Settings.

If anyone could help me with fixing these problems I would be most grateful and will credit you when I release the mod on steam.

If anyone could design artwork for the mod such as the symbol of the Toltecs (If someone does make this please provide me with the RGB.), leader portrait, unit portrait etc, I would be more then thankful and will again credit you!

Good day!

EDIT: Since I couldn't get an attachment, please download the mod here https://www.mediafire.com/folder/sodyco7di6k74/Civilization - Toltec (v 1)

You can also download it from Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=222631086

Ask Luegi, he doing a collection of Civilizations for the Americans, you can work together on the Toltec Civilization
He dosen't seem to have an account on CivFanatics does he?

Hmmm. I'm trying to add in that icon but it isn't showing up. Could someone check it out for me?

It might have something to do with the image size in the icon texture atlases being 256 (in other words, 256x256) while the actual dimensions of the icon are 2048x2048...
You're referencing an image that's 8x bigger than you're saying it is. :p

(BTW nice artwork)

Ah I see. Thanks. :)

I am happy to announce that I have most features in the mod implemented with only things such as the Civilopedia entries and Alpha icons still to complete.

I wish to ask if anyone will design the Leader Icon, Atlantean Warrior Icon and Atlant Icon for me and also a Dawn of Man (Loading Screen) image for me based on the map Harasar created. As usual I will credit you all in the full version. Below is a download for the file.

Sorry Rob, can't find anything related to bumping.

Moderator Action: The reason you can't find anything related to bumping is because I deleted the two instances you did that. There were two posts made by you that were merely ":bump:Bump!". This is not acceptable here, especially when at the time of your second bump, your thread was only sixth in the list.

Furthermore, any public discussion of moderator action is strictly prohibited. If you have any issues with a moderator, you need to take it up with them via pm. I will not take action on this occasion, accepting that you're new and probably were unaware. As a fellow modder, I realise that it's exciting to get your own mod out there and have people take interest in it - and that it's also easy to get carried away and want to bump your thread. We're all in the same boat and that's why we don't do it, out of respect for our fellow modders.

It's kind of spammy.

I'm curious to know why you chose the Atlantean Warrior as the UU. I understand the hypotheses that posit a relationship between Atlantis and Mesoamerica, but don't you think something inherently Toltec would be more fitting?

Not sure. The Toltecs were known to use atlatls however the Mayans already have the Atlatlist UU so there seemed to be no other option but the Atlantean Warrior or Atlantes as it could be called.

The way I decided to use the Macuahuitlist as the UU for my zapotecs was by looking through a list of Aztec weapons and picking a fairly standard one with a cool name. You might try doing something like that; if you really want to keep the ranged unit aspect you could use a Tlahhuitolli Archer. :dunno:

Thanks Wimp. Thats seems to be the best sounding name for an UU. Tlahhuitolli Archer it is then.
