I know this problem pales in comparison to some of the others folks around here have encountered, but I think it may be easy for a technically-minded person to address. My monitor is "dark"; I have brightness and contrast turned up all the way, but Civ IV is dark enough so that I cant's see through the fog of war at all! It's aesthetically unpleasing and makes a chore out of city placement.
I have a RADEON 9600, 256 MB graphics card, and I have tried turning up the full screen 3D, or Game, gamma and brightness levels. CIV IV, however, ignores them. I was just wondering if someone knew how to insert a line in the .ini file to either make Civ IV obey my computer's settings, or at least set it's gamma. Thanks a bunch; it would make my enjoyment of this totally rocking game that much more complete.
