Trade Screen: pleased or worst enemy or both?

He cant't decide whether he is pleased towards me or my worst enemy!

Doesn't look right - or?

There are a few possible explanations for this:
1. Mansa hates your team member (if you have one) or possibly your vassal (although that is unlikely)
2.You are close to victory and he does not want to help you win.
3.Aggressive AI is on (not sure about this one, dont normally use it)

I have seen this before (with Mansa coincidentally) when i was building my spaceship; He would not trade me plastics because i was his worst enemy, despite being pleased towards me.

I've seen that a number of times, in all flavors of Civ IV. I believe it just means he has a lower total diplomacy modifier toward you than toward anyone else.
