I think we should go after flight to get ready with a war with Persia and the Aztecs. Plus we should get betterships, so weshould research Mass Production, but we need to research a few more techs to get it. We also could get tanks...

Don't sign the Zulu-deal; the money is insignificant compared to the advantages of slowed-down AI-research. Do we want to face cavs + infs in the upcoming war, or do we want to see face tanks + Mech Infs ?

Our Spices/Gems deal with the Aztecs expires in 7 turns, Silks with the English in 6. We need to ensure that we keep the luxuries.

Let us discuss the general question of whether we keep our deals:

We are the tech leader and will never be in the position to buy a tech for gpt. Correct?
And we go for conquest, not diplomatic victory. Correct?

Thus we do not depend on our reputation, and we are free to declare war, even if a deal has not expired. Thus we can renew the silk deal and break it, if we so desire.

Now on what to research next. Obviously, motorized transport is what we need to crush the Persians. For this we need steel (4 turns) and refining (5 turns currently). I advovate to do steel first and work on increasing our research capability to do refining also in 4 turns afterwards. Even if we decide to research slower, I advocate steel first because our research power will increase. And we currently have no competition in the science field.

And, yes I will keep the luxs coming...pretty soon we are going to get all the luxs.. but for now..TRADE TRADE TRADE!
