Train Consist

Hi, has anyone found a way to modify the train consist whilst at a station? This used to be automatic in the RT series but it does not seem to happen in RR. Also, it does not appear to be possible to instruct a train to move off from a station if you have previously marked the consist as "wait until full". These 2 functions are basic routing functions required to manage the game effectively and they do not seem to have made it to the new version. Has anyone else found this?

I've had this issue as well. I have a winery train stuck in a city because the grape train is stuck behind it and I can't tell the winery train to move off (even reducing the consist to the amount that is already loaded still keeps the train stuck at the station) the station so that the city can unload the grapes so that it can produce more wine, so the only thing I've been able to do is to delete the winery train and buy it again when I need it.

I do hope there is something else that can be done but I've not found it so far.

You already have 3 tracks on the station? Perhaps you have just added too many trains to go through the same city if 3 tracks aren't enough...

You have to delete the station from the train's goto list and then re-add it. I don't know if you loose the cargo on the train or not, but at least you get your train back.

EDIT: davion76, were you directing that at my situation? If so then I need to go into the routing area, and delete the station from the stuck trains route and then the train will move onto it's next destination?

In my circumstances, I was just unfortutunate that I didnt use multiple tracks (starting out early and seeing just how I could push two opposite bound trans on one line. Ran perforectly for a while, then the winery train got stuck because there wasnt enough wine to load it and the grape train was stuck behind the winery truck so they couldnt dop off their grapes so that the city could process it to wine and get my train moving again.

Perhaps playing on a lower level might have allowed the grape train to pass through the winnery train to unload, I gues I'll have to try that again when im fellin up to it.

I had to create a seperate piece of track with a tighter turn, connecting to one of the lines. Short of deleting that stop from your route list, about the only other option is to send your engine to the scrap yards... or temporarily put it on another line.

why do u keep the tick on wait until full?. u earn alot of money easily, just dont keep it that way.

RRTIII had a good feature in which u can let a train leave a station if it is half full.
