Where can I see when my treaties are is expiring????

Make contact with the Civ and then hit the "Active" button at the bottom of the diplomacy screen. The number next to the listed treaty is the number of turns left.

newbieQ-how do you END a treaty? xpect pssing your ally off sothat he'll declare war on you, cus that's what I've been doing

Again on the diplomacy screen. Click the first option, to suggest a trade/action/ agreement. click active deals at the bottom... if you have signed agreement in effect it will tell you how many years/turns are left.... If it is still in th first 20, you cannot end it without getting a bad rep.
Looks like it is intended to penalize un-honorable actions. Unfortunately, the AI seems not to be penalized, or just doesnt care.

They sure hide it well. It took me quite some time to find it out. I hope there is a screen showing all the active treaties between you and AIs. that'll be much convenient.
