Seems I remember that it was a "thing" to have an extra game posted in December, as a sort of Christmas Special. About the time I was developing TSG_216, I ran into the well-known story of the WW I Christmas Truce. I got to thinking about that story in the context of an advanced start (weird how things come together...), which led to this game.

I've often noticed (but have NEVER used) the "Team" option under each Civ when one is in the Advanced Setup menu. So I thought we'd try it out. In this game you play as England, but Germany (played by the AI) is your teammate. When Bismark meets a new city state - so do you. When you discover a natural wonder - so does Bismark. Also, neither of you can declare war on each other. It's on a Western Europe map, and the other players are in their approximate homeland (although some might be surprised at the century they're in!)

I don't know what else you'll find out about team-play. Common pot of gold, culture, etc? Either of you can get a city-state alliance that goes toward the Diplo-V? I'll bet that if somebody declares war on either 'Liz or Bis - they get 'em both!

So, here's to a spirit of peace in YOUR life, as you help the world take this one small step in that direction. Merry Christmas!

Tourism, cash and culture are individual on a team, but you share technologies, diplomatic relations and maps. You'll be able to see your team-mate's lands throughout the game. Only one of you can be allied with a city state at once, and i'm not sure what happens with world congress votes.

I like the idea of something different for Christmas. You may also want to start thinking about the April 1st game which is often *very* unusual.
