C3B still lacks Feud and Ivory and Horses
CDZ still lacks Feud and Monarchy and Ivory and Iron, but most Importantly: We can trade with them over the sea and ocean !! They have extra silks. That means that they have discovered Astronomy and we are connected to them by sea !!
Or that they discovered Navigation or Magnetism and we can trade over oceans...

In the screenshot you see the possible sea-connection.
 
And in the north; the Immortals aren't following our horse, nor are there C3B ships approaching in the West.

In a no-ISDG related chat with a CDZ-er I mentioned that CFC and CDZ can now trade overseas. We have Ivory, they have silks. CDZ will discuss whether they are interested in such a trade. I told that if CFC wants to trade we'll propose it through official channels.
 
Good call Rik, I have not written this in the letter, but will certainly make more room for a comprehensive treaty, or a backup treaty with a limited set of agreements.

At the minimum we trade luxuries 1-1 ratio.
 
IMO, CDZ has Navigation but may be only Astronomy. They cannot have Magnetism since they need Fedualism to discover it.

Why should not we trade a luxury with them? See no reason why not. It might be, they don't need our luxury however since their citizens are already happy enough.
 
We need to educate CDZ very quickly that they cannot tell C3B about the new technology and to trade with them, since they will then sail to the leading Civ and break the CDZ trade monopoly, uding the Lighthouse to go Northeast to meet the leading Civ. This will persuade CDZ to embargo/boycott C3B just in order to keep them away from their continent.

I don't think it is mathematically possible for them to know navigation, even with 100% research coordination with the other team (don't remember who else is in it).
