Turn 148 - 320 AD.

The north.

And I've posted at the UN that CFC is holding the save. I haven't said why. The reason is that I've not received a battle report from C3B. Our 4/4 galley in the lake is now 2/4, which means it has been bombarded.

Has anyone received a battle log from C3B ?

No. But does it matter? You know how often it is bombarded because you should be able to see the catapults/trebuchets. They can't move away after they've bombarded.

Don't complain, just say something in the UN like:
The reason held the save, was because we didn't recieve a battle log. However, we assume that one/two Catapults/Trebuchets bombarded our Galley. If there are some details we have missed, we ask C3B to send on a battle log. If not, we'll just continue the turn.
Just work out if there were Catapults or Trebuchets, and how many there were.

Let's look like the better men this time. It's only a game, and it doesn't change much. :)

And let it be known that very minor rule breaking is okay? Well, I don't want to cause a huge fuss over this. But we do need to issue a statement attacking C3B's constant rule breaking. How many times are you allowed to do so in one game before being expelled? Sheese!

The rules do not say anything about repeated offense regarding breaking different paragragh of the rules every time the violation occurs. Hence, I assume, the answer would be "as many as you like" or "indefinitely". :)

The C3B battle log.

1?Trabuc?o Trebuchet bombards 4/4 SP5 Galley -> 3/4
3?Trabucao Trebuchet bombards 3/4 SP5 Galley -> 2/4

I'll play in a couple of hours.
What to do in the south ? Our ships hold some units that can't reach East Point; send them north or what else to do with them ?

Any other thoughts ? Shall we counterattack with horses or fortify them ? Shall we abandon East Point or keep it at all cost ?

I will send some troops to the mountains around Sao Paolo, or keep the battle around the lake going. Attack their softspots in a guerrilla campaign.

I would move our spectator Horsemen into battle. They aren't doing much good where they are. Rather than even try to make a dent in the advancing forces , we have ensured the fall of East Point next turn. Let's at least have our cowering units attack the adjacent stacks of 6 and 4, before we fall to the two stacks of 18. Make sure they end the turn back in East Point for defense.

Why did we take all of our MIs off of the ruins of Fortaleza? Well, C3B will be able to waltz right in with a Settler. Anything we do with our MIs now would be a pointless gesture, so we may as well follow Provo's plan. Or we can scout for a (hopefully) poorly defended Settler escort.

Make sure to stay in Anarchy, or we will lose a unit or two per turn due to lack of gold.

I thought we were going to go out fighting --- not hiding, watching and running. :rolleyes:

DZ: MDI's were removed because they stand no chance against 6 Immortals.
The horsemen were send north to wreck havoc in C3B lands.

But since the team apparantely wants them to fight for East Point, they have returned.

It would have helped more if we have a plan what to do with the horses.

And to the timid primitives, now you see that the City of God plan would have worked, as proposed by me, Rik and Rcoutme. I suggest someone to gametest the original plan with a launch turn 115 to gametest it. If the timid and concerned citizens had shut up and listened to this plan and embraced it, we would have negotiated with force.

It is too late for that. For some reason people did not want to follow that plan. Had we followed that plan to the letter, I would not have opposed this pointless war.

I knew that we were doomed when I poked my head in oneday and noticed the majority of our cities were gone :eek:.

Yeah the jealous and zealous denial of the COG killed my interest in working with some people. When the doctor prescribes antabus for a guy with headache, but choses to use a guilliotine to cure it, I kind of lose my head when I see that. I cannot work with weak, timid, scared, not ballsy, fickle, conventional, conservative, unimaginative and finally inferior team culture that rewards flames, mockeries, procrastinations, and harsh censorship of well thought out and detailed plans just to massage bloated egos.

I believe that a belief in a fatalist realism or nihilism is inferor to strategy, plan and vision any day, and I would not spend a working hour in a culture with those feature.

If we were a Civ prior to the Rik years, our cultural specific traits could well be.

Timid and Legalistic, special unit, slaver and child molester in loincloth.

Timid
All military long term planning overruled by personality cult and pointless insults as well as minutious and long essays on how afraid we are and what we cannot do.

Legalistic
All organization and cohesion is put aside for the sake of blindly following mickey mouse laws written and interpreted by aggressive teens.

At least gave us some last minute pride and honor.

For posterity, I need some guarantees that my plans are not rewarded by insults, but by actions, and that guarantee I may find somewhere else.
