Hi,

I haven't purchased civ 6 yet but played previous civs.

One thing I couldn't stand was the game telling me what to do. What building to build next, what to research next, what to improve on such and such tile.

Is there a way to turn this off in Civ 6? Or a mod that can achieve that?

Thanks

Yes. In the options menus you can turn off the advisor function or set it to only offer certain kinds of advice. However, there will be an icon in the build queue that comes up when the game thinks you should build something, which is useful on occasion, like when it let's you know you can build another national park.

That's one of the button I'm talking about....when it's time to build something, the game alway suggests what to build.

In my experience it only comes up when a) you've unlocked a new resource but haven't improved it so recommends a builder, b) have extra trade route capacity and recommends a trader, or c) can build a new national park. This isn't an immediate thing but waits like 5 turns or so. Honestly, I don't even really notice it anymore but that's just me.
