Two no quitters?

Hi!
So there seem to be two no quitter steam communitys. One is invite only, the other is simply to join. It also seems like the one who is simply to join, almost doesn't play any games. That made me a bit sad, since I had hoped to apply for membership in the active community for No quitters.
Is it possible to apply for membership of the more closed community and in case it is, could you please tell me how?

Hey mate happy to hear your looking for good civ games. The original No Quitters is the invite only group, found here: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/NO_QUITTERS

There have been many copy cat groups created. I know of 3 others. All were created by frequent quitters who were kicked from our group.

Feel free to join the chatroom via the steam page its open to all. Once there just ask and someone will help you.

searching steam for "no_quitters" finds the group nicely
