Two questions about city management.

First, how does one get cities to swap shared workable tiles if they have a bit of overlap? I had two cities in my last game that could theoretically work the same farmland, but that farm was crucial to one of the city's food production. Somewhere along the line, the other city took the tile over and the first city started to starve. I tried to take the work OFF of the second city and give it to the first, but it wouldn't work. The tile just remained 'darkened' in the first city's screen.

Second, what is the easiest way to manipulate the number of specialists? I had cities where everytime I looked at the city screen, there would be three priests. I didn't want the priests there, so I tried to get them to work the tiles. The minimize preist 'minus sign' didn't do anything, but when I hit the 'plus sign' on the citizen icon, the three preists were replaced by ONLY ONE citizen. From there I could minus the citizen and get him out into the fields. However, next turn I'd go look and LO AND BEHOLD the three preists were there again. It makes absolutely no sense to me. And I didn't have any automation icons lit up.

Anyway, possible help appreciated.

Hmm, I don't know about the tile switch between cities. What you said you did was what my advice would have been because that is how this sort of thing always worked. I do know that outside of the "fat cross" that is the standard city size the tiles appear on the city screen but are darkened. This is simply because they are close by and "visible" to the city but not available.

As far as the specialists go I think you went about it the right way as well. However, keep in mind that some wonders give specific "Specialists". Also I am not sure how "Super Specialists" are viewed graphically. Either of these might have been why the priests showed up again. Also check on you "Governor" setting to make sure you do not have anything selected that will lead the default back to religious.

Sorry I couldn't be more specific.
