Two Russians

In this (AWD) game (It's my fifth try ) for some reason there are two Russians, one orange and one brown. What is going on? Suggestion on the actual game appreciated too of course.

I can't provide a screenshot so here's a save.

The interesting thing is: Two capitals, but only one ruler, Catherine.

Moscow and St. Petersburg.

what happens if you contact the brown or the orange Russians by clicking a unit? Who appears?

It also seems as if this is not modded, otherwise TWO leaderheads would probably appear in the diplo screen.

Reason: Too much modded stuff, scenarios and so on.
Solution: Clean install of Civ3, call the Inquisition.


Really unique -> make a screenshot, good candidate for Screenshots of the Day / Month.

I've never modded my game. And I can't take screenies, because I am using a computer without a image editting program.

No need to worry, that's a rare but age-old Civ3 bug, already in vanilla. Gets reported every couple of month.
Happened to me with Egypt. The horrible thing was, in my game they shared Techs automatically, and allied against me before I could connect Iron...and I was Persia .

This hasn't happened to me before, but I have got two civs that share the same colour. They're normally located right next to eachother too, and their scores are next to eachothers in the score screen.

ive had 2 countries that started next to eachother never give contact to the person that was on their other side
