I've just played my first 0.34 FFH2 game, with the Grigori, and surprisingly, all religion techs were red, thus I was unable to research them. It that a Grigori trait, or am I missing out on something?

Agnostic leader's can't develop them, although maybe honor and deception can be done. I think I did with Auric.

Ive been playing the Grigori, and they have only one leader. Is he agnostic?

Yes. Mouseover your flag icon on the top left and it will show your leader's traits.

Yes, Cassiel is agnostic. The Grigori are a trade-off lots of strong heroes but no state religion. With little luck in gp and carefully preserving the adventurers they are a force to be reckoned with.

He has the agnostic trait, but it is of course a misnomer. Cassiel, the former Archangel of Balance, is basically a deist who thinks that it is wrong for anyone, including his fellow angels and the original 21 angels/gods, to be worshiped. He thinks that only The One is good enough to deserve worship, and that he is too good to ever want it

Auric Ulvin, the other "agnostic" leader, is an autotheist.

yes but in this case the megalomaniac actually happens to be a god not just thinking he is one.

technically he's not a god, since he was defeated he was stripped of all his powers and what not, he's very much mortal. He's more like a candidate for deification on the campaign trail...

Auric Ulvin, Ready To Lead.
(paid for by the international committee for a cooler erebus)

I refuse to vote for a candidate who is basing his entire campaign on combatting global warming!

Only Basium is really tough on evil, which is what we need in these trying times.

You are both wrong. Only Perpentach has the ability to adapt to all situations and crises! That is the kind of leader we need in these ever changing times!

No, no right now we need to vote for someone who has experience in leadership. Vote Decius! Vote experience!

And now random Norse wisdom:
Cattle die, kinsmen die,
the self must also die;
but glory never dies,
for the man who is able to achieve it

I saw it translated as

Cattle die, Kinsmen die,
Every man must also die
But one thing never dies
A man's name lives after him

There's two versions, both from Sayings of the High One in the Poetic Edda, oddly enough one after the other. The two versions I have in my copy are the one in my signature and the other is:
Cattle die, kinsmen die,
the self must also die;
I know one thing which never dies:
the reputation of each dead man.

But the Norse had a habit of having the same thing but worded differently since almost all of it's Pre-Christian stories were told not written so things changed here and there.

I'm currently taking Norse mythology right now and learning how little we actually have on them.

And one further translation (from the official translation of a Finnish song). At least I think it refers to the same thing.

Cattle die,
kinsmen die,
likewise you will die;
but the name
will never die,
of one who has done well.

Cattle die,
kinsmen die,
likewise you will die;
one I know
that never dies:
the fame of each one dead.

No, no right now we need to vote for someone who has experience in leadership. Vote Decius! Vote experience!

Perpentack has more experience that Decius could ever dream of! He has been around since the Age of Magic, and he has the at lest one copy of the minds of everyone important in his mind to advise him.
