Unable to enter ocean tiles in Industrial era

I am currently playing a game with Harald Hardrada's Vikings and as we all know this civilization is able to enter ocean tiles quit soon (after researching ship building I think). Everything went as it was supposed to go until I hit the Industrial era.

Suddenly and without a warning or explanation I wasn't able to enter the ocean tiles anymore. Not with ships, not with troops, not with settlers and not with workers.

How is this possible and how can I fix this? I was quit enjoying the game (an Island map with all kinds of seafaring civilizations as England, etc). I had just build the Venetian Arsenal.. maybe it is related to this?

Same here, Happened after loading saved game. I was in modern era, but I loaded previous saves and still can't access ocean tiles. My units who were travelling in the ocean are stuck there lol. Tried validating game file in steam, but didn't fix the issue.

Same! My fleet is stuck in the ocean and Elisbeth is about to declare war on me...

Pity. This was like the best game I played in a long time. Usually I don't stand a chance on Immortal difficult level and this time I honestly thought I'd be able to get somewhere. Civ 6 frustrates me

Oh could be, wish I paid attention to that sorta stuff. Probably happened around the same time as the patch. Maybe I should start a new game as Harald and find out.

I didn't download a patch.. does this happen automatically?

It looks like this won't be resolved so I guess my game just ended. [insert curse here]
