Unable to start the game from the DVD-ROM

Any ideas?

When I try to launch Civilization IV an error dialog appears:

"Please insert the correct DVD-ROM, select OK and restart application"

I have the DVD-ROM inserted.

Suggested support link only speaks about CD-ROM 1 and 2.

It may or may not help you, but you are not alone, there a quite a few of us with this problem.

Basically, they printed the PLAY DISK label on the wrong disk, just switch it for your installation disk and it should work

No, the European version is a single DVD not 2 CDs. This is a copy protection issue.

You can always find no-CD/DVD patches on http://www.gamecopyworld.com

You know it is there for a reason, if it was only usefull for pirates it would have been closed by now.
