Why do you care?
[RANT]
In my most recent game, the Military Advisor said of the Ottomans, "compared to these guys, our military is weak!" before I had a spy in Istanbul; I was scared silly of an attack by him of my settlements on his continent (which were my only source of Ivory and were only about twenty tiles away from Istanbul itself) And this is how me (Egypt) and the Ottomans stacked up (numbers are approximate):

Egypt

20 Workers
25 Modern Armor
55 Mech Infantry
10 Artillery
5 Destroyers
5 Battleships
10 Transports
3 Carriers
5 Cruisers
15 Bombers
10 Jet Fighters
2 Tactical Nukes
2 ICBMs

Ottomans:
15 Workers
10 Tanks
150 Mech Infantry
5 Artillery
10 Destroyers
10 Transports
1 Battleship
10 Bombers
1 Tactical Nuke
10 Sipahi

As you can see, he has a massive defensive military. But I'm a lot scarier (though I do loathe war, a completely unprovoked attack by the French--she was friggin' gracious!--caused me to develop my offensive military) and have a great deal more projecting power. Plus, the Ottomans have been warmongering before I reached his continent and has an empire larger than mine. So WHY CAN'T THE FRIGGIN ADVISOR TAKE THAT INTO ACCOUNT! It should take into account attack strength, defense strength, and empire size to determine relative military strength, rather than sheer numbers.

The Foreign Advisor is sad when he says the other civ is impressed by our culture, and happy when he says that we are impressed with their culture! It makes no sense! Fix that, even if it's only aesthetic!

And all in all, GIVE US BETTER ADVICE! SHEESH!
