While reading the paper (The Guardian) today I came across a quote I found rather amusing. The quote was not meant to be funny and this led me to wondering whether any of you have any unintentionally funny quotes (and try to refrain from the usual political ones - i.e. Bush etc).
The quote was from PETA and it was concerning their new policy of giving fur coats to the homeless. They recieve lots of fur coats from people who don't want them anymore and they usually use them in protests etc. However the amount that were recieving was increasing and so they decided to burn or bury them. Then someone came up with the bright idea of giving them away to the needy instead. And this was PETA's European campaigns director (Sean Gifford) explaining the decision:
"We used to burn or bury them. Then we realised we can't bring the animals back."
The thing that makes this quote so funny to me is the word 'then'.
