Unit auto switching - is it possible to disable it?

Is it possible to disable auto switching of units like in Civ5? After movement/action is made, the game switches the active unit and when I manually change it without waiting for game to do it for me, sometimes the game overrides me and my order is performed by some other unit on the other side of the map. Rage ensues.

I was unable to find appropriate option in game's menu.

Word of warning, the game seems to be designed to work best with it turned on, so people is reporting it kinda works odly.

I wonder if that's why it hasn't been made a part of the UI yet, if the devs have encountered some bugs with it off, and weren't ready for that option.
 
I made that config change earlier today and I've had no issues. The UI can be a bit tedious as you have to either manually find the unit or click the button to manually cycle, but it's been stable for me.
 
After some time playing with it off, the only problem I found was that when the AI turns end, i.e. when my next turn starts, there's no indication of it unless there are new notifications that play a sound. So early game I often wait too long between turns because I don't notice that I am already in the next turn.

But other than that, everything else seems to be fine.
 
Oh, I had forgotten about that. It's not a big deal unless you're trying to MP with turn timers, but even then you get in the habit of watching the bottom right of the screen and it's fine.
