Unit Graphic

I'm looking for a unit graphic of a Giant Squid. I haven't yet seen one, but if anyone has please let me know.

I'm gonna replace the barbarian water unit with the Giant Squid in a mod I'm working on, but Im not too good with the graphics part yet, so Im looking for something other than my stick figure drawings.

So instead of the galley the barbarians will try to sink your ships with a squid? I am think to that scene in 2000 Leagues Under the Sea where Michael Douglas is fighting that squid out at sea.

A squid sounds awesome... in fact I'm intriqued enough to have a go at making one for you. Keep in mind that I'm new to this stuff (you can see a preview of my first unit in the main creation threads) but I have an idea how I can go about it. If anyone else wants to try feel free, mine might not come out like I'm imagining it now. I'll try to work on a preview over the next few days... Squids as barbarians.... Great Idea

Well, I was just thinking in the ancient era the civs weren't afraid of going out to sea because of barbarians, but because of the sea monsters myths.

And the Giant Squid is one of the myths that probably exists as remains have been found on numerous shores.

So, if your civ is brave enough to face the unknown sea in the ancient era, then good luck

And thanks for taking a shot at the graphics. I can't wait

I think a giant squid sounds like a great idea for a barbarian unit. It would also be useful those making fantasy mods as well.

The legendary Kraken would be great to have! I know I'd likely implement it in some form if it existed.

Ok... I got on a streak, stayed up and finished a version of a giant squid (really it's kind of an Octopus but I don't think anyone will notice)... I'm not happy with some parts of it, and since it's my first completed unit I'm going to try an update it as I get more familiar with graphics creation... As I believe a half-decent unit is better than no unit I will be posting the version I finished in the Units section. Hope you like it.
