I'm in my first game, now in the 3rd age (Modern?) and at war with Prussia and captured one of their settlements. In the process of capture, I pillaged a few tiles -- but now control the entire settlement.
I have units in the settlement that are at FULL HEALTH. When I move the unit (no combat, just move), the unit immediately goes to near death (in the screenshots, my howitzer went from 100% health, to 1% health by moving one hex). No combat, no next turn, anything -- just immediately went to near death.
This is happening with any unit in the captured settlement -- it is happening if I pack the units into a commander, or move them on their own. And it is happening in the captured settlement whether the unit is on a pillaged tile or not.
I did two screen shots showing my full howitzer, a half a move onto an empty tile in the settlement radius and now almost perished.
I have looked high and low for anything that would indicate that units in recently captured settlements lose health, or moving through pillaged hexes deplete health (like the old pollution from Civ 4/5/whatever) -- but have seen nothing.
So not sure if this is a bug or a feature.
I've had it happen in 2 settlements that I have captured -- (with different opponents in the Modern era) -- the first time, I just thought I was sloppy and got them shot at and didn't notice it.
Anyone else experiencing this? What am I missing?
