any way you can move to next turn without having to cycle around all units needing orders? When you have loads of units its quite annoying.

You can change some units to sleep etc.. but still its a bit annoying to do that for every unit u dont want to issue orders this turn but want to issue next turn and then u have to Zzz them again.

I slighty remember an option (in the options menu) stating something about unit cycling. cant remember exactly what is does.

If that doesnt work, check out the hotkeys and use them more. space for ignoring orders 1 turn for civilians and A(guard for combat units.

All units needs orders as far I understand the game?

What is the problem for you exactly?

Sometimes workers are stopped because of barbs/enemies and so on.

The problem is it would be easyer if I decide what units I give orders to.

If I don't want to give orders to certain units I should be able to go to next turn instead of having to cycle through all of them and fortify/sleep them.

Right. I believe it's called auto unit cycling. It's turned on by default, but I believe if you turn it off then you pick which units you give orders to, rather than it automatically cycling through all the units that don't have orders.

I think I understand what you mean, and no, unfortunately I don't think there is a way to do it. The only thing you can do is turn off auto unit cycling, which I tend to do, as I don't like it when I'm about to click on one unit to give it orders and the camera suddenly leaps to the other side of the map so that I can tell another unit what to do next. But you still have to manually cycle through every unit and give each one orders before the end of the turn.

I too find it frustrating. I suppose part of the rationale behind it is to encourage the player to have less units in the first place, but even with only 10 or 15 it still becomes tedious very quickly.

If you do that to workers, make sure they are not alllowed to change tiles.

That might work, never tried it myself tho. Always managing every dude in the block myself!

If anything it annoys me when the units don't autocycle when i have it turned on. I won't have them fortified or on alert, but it won't select them and will show end turn. If I don't realize someone didn't get a turn and manually select, they will lose their turn. It kept happening with Mongolia last night. I had a horseman waiting to take the city as my Keshik wore it down. If the horseman was selected first, I would hit W to wait. The Keshik would go then it would just show Next Turn instead of going back to the horseman. It also happens sometimes where the unit just never asks for orders and I just get Next Turn.

Press the space bar to end a unit's turn.

I like to use the following system:
1. Turn off unit auto cycling.
2. Use the W key to cycle units.
3. Use the space bar to end the current unit's turn.

You can also use the W key to skip units and come back to them later.
