I browsed over the Developer Updates from the past (Due to school, I didn't get into Civ3 until summer). On one of the pages, I noticed a remark by Soren.

"Want to trade your World Map and Bronze Working for a Spearman and Communications with the Indians? No problem.

So, what happened? Did programming the AI in evaluations become too difficult and unbalanced? Was there not enough time and the Firaxians had other priorities?

To me, it seems as though it's something they coded for, but didn't balance out. Anyone know for sure? It was posted in February, so I would assume it should be a shoe in for the XP.

I believe workes can only be traded when they are in the capital. If this was how military works, I could see offering The AI whatever it took for their military and then walking into the capital:lol:

Yeah, I definitely think it's exploitable and there are probably concerns that many at first don't realize. It should definitely be there for multiplayer though. But unit trading with the AI would be nice for singler player too.
