Unit upgrade

Hi,
I'm completely new to this mod. It looks and plays awesome. Just one question: is it possible to manually upgrade units to a different type, like light tank to medium (e. g. German Panzer II to III)?

No, it is not; indeed all upgrades are via projects, and are essentially modifications of the same vehicle to a later variant.
