Unlikely Expansion Request

yes CTP1 had naval and space colonization and CTP2 only naval

but there are some great ideas in there, but i disagree with some. like the laser infantery, that is going a little far. but stuff like bunker buster and most of all the EMP bomb sounds really cool. I always wanted something like that (but EMP does more, it disables everything that has electronics in it, includings subs, tanks, plains u name it. Prolly only inf are not affected)

I have thought of a space station or satellite small wonder that shows a different patch of land each turn where you can see all units and investigate cities free. The patch of land shifts every turn so you don't get to choose which place you see, it just points wherever the satellite is in space.

In that case, you'd have to select the 'orbital' button for your satellite. If you want your satellite to spy on the same patch of land each turn, you'd select the 'geo-synchronous' button. Some satellites remain stationary over the same point of the Earth's surface, by rotating along with the Earth. That's what geo-synchronous means, and having 2 choices would be a good implementation of 'advanced satellites'.

I think your ideas are ok, but I don't like the laser infantry idea much. Conventional weaponry is just fine, and I think it will be so in 47 years.

Laser infantry is a bit unrealistic. However, they are working on a laser ABM system that will be mounted on trucks - they are shooting for deployment of the system by 2025, IIRC. Such a unit would make a nice mobile defense against ICBMs.

Terra hero thank you for your comment!! i like your ideas but i ment a new age with near future Tech. not any nano. tech. it could begin 2050-2200

Advanced Engineering to make a canal or bridge on a one tile gap between land/water.

I think the best way to implement a future age and appease both the "Civ is a historical game" and the "I want to settle underwater, kill with lasers, and be 100x more destructive" camps is to make a 5th age optional in the gameplay. Just as you can turn certain options on and off before playing (i.e. certain victory conditions, accelerated production, AI respawning, etc.), I think that making this 5th age optional would be very viable. Of course, this is a moot point for C3C considering the stage of development it is at, but for a Civ 4, I think it would be great.
