Unrecorded victories

Okay, so the way I enjoy playing is by making custom maps, then playing them.

I've done this once or twice, but I notice that whenever I do so the game does not record a high score. My speculation is that it's thinking they're Conquests, rather than Epic Games. Am I right? If so, how do I play a custom map and have it record my score?

Sorry if this has been asked a million times before - I DID look, but didn't find it.

Open the score file and manually add it.

Er, I was sort of hoping for an actual fix, since it happens each time...

If the biq is different from the original conquests.biq (ie anything has been changed in the editor), it will not enter the Hall of Fame. This also happens if you change conquests.biq. So there is no alternative other than what microbe said.

So if I open up the Conquests editor, generate a NEW map, make it the way that I want it and then save it... it won't save?

No, that will be fine. If you edit the rules, however, like making a golden age last 30 turns, it won't show up.

I found it doesn't record even if I only modified City name in Conquests.biq.

By the way, how can I restore original conquests.biq file?
