Uploading Images

Two options:
1. Use the upload file link at the bottom of most (all) pages. It will let you browse on your PC for up to 3 images. Hit upload file and wait.
then in your post you need an "image tag" which will look like this:
[IMG*]http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads3/yourfile.ext[/IMG*]
except without the *s - those are there to fake out the vBulletin language so you can see the text.
(you can also do that using the IMG button in the vBulletin code section of the posting page - it will prompt you for text/file name and do some of the work for you.
You can check the name of your file when you upload - there is an "upload confirmation screen" - if you open that, then click on the "modified" link at the top of the listing it will sort the files by date. Click again for reverse order. If you are fairly quick your files should be among the most recent, and hence listed first. Check the name, because it's case sensitive AND if someone else has the same filename first it will append a number to yours.
2. Simpler, but limit of one pic per post. There's an attach image option at the bottom of the posting page - but not as near the bottom as the upload file link. Hit that, browse for a pic and viola.
NB there is a pics per post limit for option 1 too, I think its about 10 or so AND smilies are pics too, so you can hit the limit if you smile or frown a lot
PS If the image tag thing didnt make sense, pick a post with multiple images, hit QUOTE POST and look at the text there.
