whitch gove do u use the most??? plz vote and ill be posting what new gov whold u like to see in expansion soon too:D

I have voted for democracy, but i like to be a religous civ and change government to communism for longer war periods.

Nah communism is nothing for me, I'd rather prefer monarchy. My fav government is democracy, but for wars I switch it too. But I think communism has got two severe drawbacks compared to monarchy: First, rush building costs population, monarchy only costs gold. If you've been in a democracy before, you should have some extra to pay for the rush.
Second: Corruption is the same in all your cities. This may sound good at first, but I don't like it. I like to have a ring of productive cities around my capital/FP which build up the greatest part of my military. If corruption is all the same, they are affected more strongly than other cities which aren't that productive.
So: Demo for peace, monarchy for wars.

I almost always go straight for Monarchy in the beginning. I think it's better than Republic when you are having very early wars. Plus the fact that the AI almost always goes for Republic which means trading Polytheism and Monarchy to everyone for lots of techs.

Of course, it's not as good later but I think it's still my favorite.

I created other govs in my editor, and my preference is a government mostly like the Democracy and republic. I added another, too. I have altered Democracy and Communism as well.

Democracy.

I like the extra income and reduced coruption. But war weariness can be a pain.

Yup 100% agree. If you research monarchy, trade offers you the possibility to quickly research republic yourself with the traded techs.
I also agree that monarchy is better in the earlier game if your empire is still quite small, you can wage wars earlier, and the production/trade bonus isn't so strong in a small empire.

Democracy

No real reason, it's just the one that I like the most. I beeline for Free Artistry to get Shakespare, so I switch when I discover it.

I like Republic in the early game for the Commerce increase...then I'll usually switch over to Communism for late era war mongering. I've found Communism is best gov't when my civ has cities outside radius 15 from palace/FP...makes entire civ more productive, and I only lose 1 turn for MI/tank/MA production in my core cities. If I'm building in the late game, I'll just stay with republic. For the record...I voted Republic.

Why rep in the late game? Demo is wy better, just be sure to acquire womens' suffrage, bach's cathedral, cure for cancer or other wonders that make your people happy. Democracy makes more money, has got faster workers and less corruption. I think this makes up for the higher war wearyness.
PS: I think communism sux, better go for monarchy (see my reasons above).

What do you do when you have a long war in late Industrial Age..Modern Age? Do you pick communistic or monarchic government style?

Always seems like the World get drawn into WWI style alliances that end up plunging the entire world into war. I just finished making peace with 6 civs all at war with me (kinda shoots the diplomatic victory in the foot  ). Dunno if Democracy would withstand that w/o wonders you mention. Further, Democracy tech advances are dead end anyway...I'm usually rushing for Rifle/Cav to deter war. Will definately have to try it in the next game. :)

Scratch that. That was way long before I realized how vital democracy is. I played this month's gotm and had a hard time buying techs. In republic I was making 50+ gpt and able to buy lots of techs. But in Democracy, that shot up to 100+ gpt and my money worries were over. :)

I value Democracy much more now since playing this month's gotms.

I definately favour Democracy. The extra income and less corruption are what I'm always after, as I like to have plenty of money in the Bank.

As Sir Nukealot mentioned, war weariness is a pain and the only drawback to having a democracy. But then I usually try to have very short, quick wars so WW doesn't really have a chance to kick in.

Is communism the best govt for a long amount of warfare ?

When it is no war, I prefer Democracy. In war I go fore communist, since I have a lot of police stations and defenders (military police). In Vanilla I prefered Monarcy in war, but it seams to communist works better in PTW.

A whole 11 days ago ;)

Okay...tried using Democracy for the first time, and I gotta admit...I think I've converted...
I got a look at some of the production from my cities, and  very impressive...I'll have to try it for long warmongering, but in peace time...Democracy can't be beat:saiyan:

Definately democracy for peace time and short to medium length wars. Fot long wars I usually go for monarchy, 'cause I don't like communism...
