Sorry to post a new thread on something that has probably been covered, but with the search function down, I can't seem to find what is probably already out there. On to it...
When I play the game from my user account (first account created, full admin rights) I crash straight to the desktop everytime I order my initial settlers to build my first city. Every time, without fail. It doesn't matter which civ I choose, it just craps out.
If I log in with my wife's account (second and only other account created, full admin rights) the game works as it should. No crashes whatsoever. I have played a full game on a large map with no issues.
I know that I could continue to switch over to her account, but frankly, it's annoying and the game should play just fine on mine.
The fix it thread mentioned different configs for each user account, but gives no real detail other than that. What differences should I be looking for? Where should I be looking for them?
Any advice on how to get the game running on my user account would be greatly appreciated.

1.9GHz P4
768mb of Ram
256mb Radeon 9550
Sound Blaster Audigy 2
