I installed the patch and now get an error message: "The parameter is incorrect". When I go to the directory where the program is stored and click on civ.exe I get the same error message. Does anyone have a suggestion of how to fix this?
I previously ran version 1.09 without any difficulty. I have the Blue Marble graphics program installed. It caused no problem in 1.09.
FOLLOW UP: After posting this I remembered that I got a message during the patch install that the program might be corrupted. I clicked through it and the patch seemed to install OK. However, the "parameter incorrect" error message came up when I tried to start the program.
I had downloaded the patch from the CivFanatics site. I then went to the Take2 site in Germany and downloaded their patch. I installed it without receiving a corruption message. The program now loads without a problem and seems to run in a stable manner.
There could be something wrong with the patch on this site.
