Vanilla Civ unit graphics.. where are they hiding?

OK. Another silly Civ modding question. So, for a mod I'm working on, I wanted to create a copy of a unit and just make some modifications to the .DDS graphics to give them a slightly different look. I've done this already with some units (Berserker, Cataphract for example) without a problem.

I try to modify the original Knight (not the new ones like Asian, Middle East) and I can't find his Art folder!?!

I check in the BTS Civ4ArtDefines.XML and the path for the .nif file is..
Art/Units/Knight/Knight.nif
so I check for that folder in reg Civ4/Assets/Art/Units .... not there
I check again in Warlords (though I know BTS doesn't load this) ... not there
I check in the BTS folder Civ4/BTS/Assets/Art/Units ... not there
I do a search for Knight.nif in the whole Firaxis directory ... nothing
then I search my WHOLE harddrive ... still nothing

I looked for a bunch of other units this way and found the Art for many units is missing... though the game runs fine. So are some files hidden, or compressed to save space? Where can I find the original Knight art folder without having to download it. This is driving my crazy, though I hope its not something stupid I'm missing .

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ahh. So they are compressed! Was wondering what was in those files. Strange how some are packed and some are not.
