"vb code" doesn't work for me

This is something that has been bothering me for a while now. There are many things in my posts and the rest of cfc that I'll click but will never work. This seems to just be my account. For example:

- No matter how many times I click "bold" "italic" or "underline" the code never comes up. It'll just say it's loading and take years.

- The same thing happens, or rather doesn't happen, when I ask for moe smilies.

- I'll click on "upload files" when I know it's working. It just takes forever, sais it's loading the next page, but never happens.

Does anybody have any idea what's wrong with my account??

Well, "never" came out in bold!

You can shortcut the problem by entering the tags manually. Use {u} {/u} for underline, {b} {/b} for bold, {i} {/i} for italics, {url=www.civfanatics.com} link here {/url} for urls etc. Just change the curly brackets for square ones.

Otherwise: What browser are you using? Have you enabled javascript / vbscript?

Yeah, never worked out fine because I've gotten used to just typing in and then the /.

Thanks for the help with the code, but my biggest probelm is the easy upload system, which hurts me in things like succession games in the stories and tales forum.

I know I enabled vbcode in my member settings, but I think the thing about javascript may be it... thanks, I'll go check on it tomorrow.

What browser are you using? I have the same problem when using Netscape, but then I just use the {u} thingies etc. You can get more smilies by looking at the little box in the lower left corner of this page, where you see the short forum rules. There is a line that says smilies are on. Click on it, and you'll be able to see all of 'em.

When I need o upload a save or so, then I just use Opera to do it, it works fine.


I hope you understood what I meant... I might have said it a bit weirdly...
