"waiting for other civilizations" in single player

Hi I have a strange bug
after playing and saving a game (with the chinese)
I returned to the game and loaded my saved game
two strange things happen
the first I was changed to play for the egyptens (?!?!?!)
and my chinese are now an AI controled nation
the second strange thing, in the same game
is that I can't accually end my turn
I have a "waiting for other civilizations" blinking line
but this is a single player game
to whom is he waitting !??!

sid meier's owes you your $50 back. this thing is so damn awful...it's a wasted of time.

sorry, i'm no help, but can't resist venting more.

actually, i havn't heard of that bug yet. is it repeatable? does it happen all the time or just that once?

I have no idea why you'd switch civs like that, unless you accidentally changed something somewhere. Or it could just be a buggy game.. As far as the "waiting for other civilizations" goes, I get that all the time. I'm playing on single player, but there are other AI controlled civs that apparently take hours to move, despite my turning off animations, etc.

no this is no repeating ...
I reloaded the game and the saved game
and everything is back to normal

I'm realy sad to hear that the waiting can take a while (!)

I hope more people report this so it will be repaired
2k have a lot of work on the 1st patch
