I selecte random smart map and got a monster. I am using the First People mod so there will be alot of different city names on there. I will try to put a screenshot at the end of this. I ended with virtually no ocean just a handful of landlocked seas. It is an arid world with lots of mountains and hills. I am playing it at warlord cause thats my skill level - not all of us are masters. There are tons of barbarian cities at least 8 from what I saw and 2 are near me. I got bronze but it is blocked by a mountain so I will have to ship a worker there. There is iron near me but I am wagin a war vs the barbarians to get a settler there - they have already killed one. I have 2 warriors at the site and plan on sending 2 with the next settler. Please any suggestions will be welcome since this map is going to be a challenge for me lol. Usually choose Islands.

Not sur ewhat kind of advice your wanting. This is a very cool map though. One thing I would do is spread out my cities as far as I could. (try not to have city radiuses even touch) but resources would determine this more than anything so it depends on that. I would definatly pull away from the equator as much as possible early on to try and get to some of the grasssland to the north & south. But the equator does hold the possibility of Flood plains.

terra huge is biggest but for land mass go for highlands on standard with war against all civs to the west we still coundn't fill the map. even though cath and ffred were playing.
