Civ Fanatics has an excellent ladder for individual scoring.

Apolyton League had a Tribe concept, which is moving to th MP umbrella.
Come see.
Join a Tribe (Drake, for 1, has openings), or form your own.

The one enemy of MP has been getting back together to finish game.
Tribes takes care of that.
You meet again, and/or rotate Tribe member involvement.

Betweeen the two boards, you should have all the Civ you want.

Since I don't SP anymore (Except for Succession Games), I am very interested in something like this. But....

I am not really into the ladder concept (competition for points and such). I like playing Civ, but not for 2x2 bloodbaths on horseback or elephantback in 2500 B.C.

.

I am however for finishing games (DUH), and would very much like to get involved in something that would make that a bit easier. I hate hosting and then giving somebody elses' Civ to a new player because that player didn't show up at the predetermined time. Then 10 minutes after you start, the old player comes in wondering why his Civ is now being ran by somebody new.

With tribe games I think at least somebody should be around (hopefully) at the alotted time.

I am interested, but my time zone (GMT+1) doesn't bode well. But I must say that I would only play for fun, and not for points.

But in three months I'll be back on "real" time (EST) and then maybe my options will be a little more open.
