I am normally against wars that normally are just to gain us a city, and i havent looked at the military. But they Backed out of a deal, which caused our citys to riot. they slapped us in the face and our national honour demands we slap back. This is a role playing game, and so we should go to wars for realist reasons we have one here. Lets get our revenge

Actually, I saw in a thread somewhere that the gems flipped to Persia which left Rome with no way to continue the deal. Note to self, careful about buying resources which are on a border between two or more civs. :crazyeye:

Rome? No, we can't go to war with him! It would be unfair, there's thousands of us and just one of him!

Anyway, give him a break... he has to mine those gems by himself. Poor old man.

Actually, I *think* he is refering to the incense deal they broke during ravensfire's TC. If he is, then yeah we should do something so they they realized they pissed us off. But the Gem deal was broken through a culture flip. Rome really couldn't control that. ;)

Well, we probably have the Might to gain the single city and raze maybe two more, but after that we'd be exhuasted. We wouldn't be able to replace lost troops and therefore would have to make it a short but brutal war. Very possible, provided the peace comes quickly after our Initial Objectives are gained.

Too true, they have crossed the line and pissed us off after breaking off our forever contract. We should show them that they crossed the line. In the real world I'd definately do this, Mainly becasue it would scare the crap outta everyoine else, thus making war the solution for a longer lasting peace. But I don't think that the AI works quite like that.

Whatever the citizenry decides I shall plan for and make the nessacary arrangements.

It wasn't the Romans, though, it was the Persians, who swayed the Romans to their heathen ways, and stole the city of Gems from the Romans.

If we should be angry at anyone, it is the Persian Empire.

OKay then, if we are mad at the Persians then...Then...Then...Well, BAsically we can't do anything about it, I know it sucks, but we aren't in a position to attackPersia, Sure its possible but that would mean building basically a self-sustaining Army, which means it must have all of the key components, the ability to attack ,the ability to defend and the ability to lay siege to a City. These things are easily made one by one, but when put altogether although you have one of the best Armiy's of the world, our Homeland will be in-defended and France is quite close to Rome right now at heart. NBot only would it be a military feat, but a Diplomatic one as well.

Give peace a chance!!!

But they disrepected us, they took the food out of our children mouths. Now i don't want to here "persia did it" ceasar is a grown man who signed a grown mans contract, if he was worried about culture he should of down somthing about it. But he didn't and now he failed to honour our contract. We must punish him for it or he will do it again.

Let's do some building for a bit and prepare ourselves for another incursion into enemy territory.
