yeah: don't even start 
get's very expensive very fast especially when you play with some hard core freaks who only accept painted models.
If you want to have an army with style: Take dwarves, skaven or orcs.
If you want an cheap army to kick some ass without having to think of a strategy: take high or dark elves.

yes, actually, im going with dwarves. dont have anything bought yet, but will havein the next month or so.

and just get plastics. To damn expensive to buy metals and even some plastic models cost £40 (don't kno but USA).
