Warlords Dom and ConQ Questions

So I have been thinking about playing with an Imp leader (not sure which one yet), but I would like some advise form those who have used this leader type before for Dom or ConQ victory.

1) How many warlords do you get during the entire game?
2) When do you receive them overall (number of turns/years) ((will they arrive like regular SS's spreading out as time goes by))
3) Which setup/buildings/wonders/techs are best suited to acquire the most of them? i.e. Is a specialist city needed with tons of farming for Imp leaders also?
4) and finally, do you start wars with more than a single civ in the earlier time frams or just go from door-to-door? I have tried the D-t-D method on duel or small map types for Dom or ConQ victory wins, but I always seem to be able to just get by with one war at a time with about 4-6 cities going and all but one generating units. When I go for more than one civ at a time I get creamed and too thinned out, and it takes me until 1500+ AD to win so the score is not as high as I would like.

5) Which leader is best suited for the following setup:
Prince level (I am stepping up from Warlords and Noble levels normally)
Small, Standard or Large, Fractal or Continents map type (or should I stick to Pangaea)?
All standard settings except for no Tech Brokering
All leaders random except my leader

I know I have a need to "temper" my city building construction for this higher level of play, and I am a real nut for building every Wonder that I come across(they're just so cool to watch the movies);) So I will be needing to build only those that would be most efficient for Warlord production and if I get lucky to build some others within very small time frames I pick those up also.

The main objective is to build as many Warlords as possible and use them as attack masters in stacks with defenders, throwers and any other units according to era as needed.

6) What is the cap on these units leveling abilities? (or has Firaxis removed the cap yet in BTS)? (See I hardly ever get one of them so none have gone past level 5-6)

7) and as a sub question, off topic to this thread, but good place as any to put it... Does the files that keep track of the game data as you play also make note of things like the number of times you Regen a map, or delete/kill units?
I don't need to know which file it would be in neccessarily, but I am very curious.

TanX in advance for any help as I expect some answers will be long.:mischief:

It depends on wethr you are a warmonger or a builder how many warlords you get.

Have lots of of succesful battles (against other civs, not against barbs or animals) and you get many generals, have only few wars and you get only few generals.
In my game I have the 18th century and only gotten my second general (one from beng the first to discovr fascism, the other by battles). Why? Because the world has been very peaceful and my first war started when the chinese tried to make a surprise attack on one of my cities around 1760 (I rarely attack during the early periods ofb the game and more try to get my infrastructure up to date and establish as well as keep an technological egde over the other nations)

If you want to generate warlords then go with an imperialistic leader. Cyrus is a great candidate because charismatic means cheaper promotions as well meaning really powerful warlords--as long as you baby them for awhile so they don't die off.

Great generals are now more expensive meaning they will appear less frequently, so you have to war a lot if you want to get a lot of them.

One tactic a lot of people use is building the GW, declaring on someone, waiting til they move a stack into your cultural borders, wipe it out, rinse, repeat. This helps generate GGs quickly, especially if you are imperialistic.

Another good tactic is getting a tech edge and wiping out a backwards warmongering civ mid-to-late game. They will have a LOT of OBSOLETE units meaning you can mow through their empire generating a lot of GG pts (i.e., xp) in a short time.

I would think from my post that I am clearly warmonger type to be, and that I have built many wonders and buildings before.

So is there no connection between the two for a combo type of personallity like Warbiuldmonger or something?

OK Thanks FutureHermit! There's some info I was looking for but there still remains the rest of the questions in my original post, hopefully people who have had this sceanario of Warmongering for some time will have those answers also.
