warlords question

I was wondering if I can play warlords on a mac without civ 4. I have it installed from a friend, but I don't have the disk for civ 4. Will this be a problem, especially since I didn't download the most recent patch for civ 4?

Welcome to CFC, sunnyinphilly! A few pieces of information:

1. Patches can be installed without the CD, so you can update to the latest version of Civ4 even without the disk.
2. Warlords contains the latest patch for Civ4 (at least in the PC version, and I assume it's the same for Macs), so updating Civ4 manually is a bit redundant. It shouldn't hurt, though.
3. Warlords comes with its own disk, so the Civ4 CD isn't needed to play it. As long as Civ4 has been installed and you have the Warlords CD, you can play Warlords.

Ginger_Ale is right, you just need the Warlords disk.
