I have a dumb question about wealth....
In civilization 2, when you wanted a city to produce money, you put it on capitalization, which is like wealth in civ 3. This turned each shield into one gold, so a city making 25 shields would make 25 gold a turn.
From what I see, in Civ 3 when you switch to wealth, you get one gold a turn no matter how many shields. Is this right? Doesn't this seem like a ripoff? It makes hardly any difference in the budget.
I have not progressed enough in a game yet without starting over. I never finished a civ3 game yet, and did not get past infantry. Is there a capitalization tech that comes later?
