Weird DVD drive issue.

OK, for a few days, I had a CD in my drive, some recipe thing my mom wanted me to try out. And I think I had to reboot the computer and now I removed the CD and the "name" is stuck, even with a blank DVD in it.

So I tried going into properties but it won't let me change it. Any other suggestions? I did try google, but I think everyone here knows my lousy google skills.

reinstall the driver for the drive?

Except it's the generic one.

Funny thing is -- the name disappeared on rebooting again.

Again, reinstall the driver. The fact that its generic doesnt mean Windows doesnt have a driver installed for it. It simply means its got a generic driver that comes with Windows!
