The noble gases were invented? Poverty, too? :)
'The first cloned mammal' is not an invention either.

The decimal point was invented by Simon Stevin (Netherlands) in 1585 (the Babylonians did already use fractions however).

The reflecting telescope was invented by Isaac Newton (England), he built the first one in 1668.

The MRI body scanner was invented by Raymond Damadian (USA) in I think 1971; he built the first one in 1977.

Hypnosis was already used by the ancient Egyptians.

'Neptune' is not an invention.

The Steam Engine was invented by the ancient Greeks.
Anaesthetics were invented by the Chinese.
Television could be claimed by the USA (Philo Farnsworth).

Big Bang theory:
(the universe originated with a huge explosion) George LeMaitre, Belgium, 1927;
(modified LeMaitre theory labeled “Big Bang”) George A. Gamow, U.S., 1948;
(cosmic microwave background radiation discovered, confirms theory) Arno A. Penzias and Robert W. Wilson, U.S., 1965.

England:

Furry dice
Spice Girls
Pork Scratchings
Clockwork Radio
Umbrella

All of these are inventions, with the exception of Prok Scratchings which I believe to be better classed as a discovery.

:D

Na,

Alexander Graham Bell was born in Edinburgh.

Na,

The telephone was born in Canada. Where Alexander was born is irrelevant.
