i have 1.70 GHZ, 1.00 GB of RAM, ATI all-in-wonder 9800 series and most rts/turn based games after I play them for a while start to slow down when there are too many units/buildings on screen. what do I have to get to make games go faster?

!st thing i'd do is get a new CPU. what processor do you have? you may be able to flash your bios and upgrade youe cpu, however, you probably have a chipset that will NOT support the newer prescott core, in which case you would have to look for a northwood based processor whcih may be hard to find, this is of cource assuming you have a pentium 4 cpu.

At 1.7 ghz P4 it is time to upgrade if you want to do some decent gaming.

Another good advice: Buy a 2nd hard drive. Install the OS on the slower one, the game files on the faster one.
Try to load your game files from hard drive instead from cd/dvd.
