What file location houses the pre-loaded steam files?

I assume things like music are all there, I'd like to poke around in these files...they must be somewhere on my PC.

Go to your steam folder (Which is in program files by default), then steamapps, then common, then sid meier's civilization V.
All the files are encrypted though, so you won't be able to get anything besides the filenames.
