This may sound like a stupid question, but my civ is RIP. Because of that I dont have music intro and some other stuf and I dont have the High Council.I realy wish to know what is High Council, what does it do and is it important to game it self. Please answer me and thank you.

P.S. You may have noticed that I do not know English so god there for I would like to apologise for any error I created in this text.

The High Council is a bunch of animated photos of your advisors... your not missing much ;). They give horrible advice, you are best off without them ;)

They are good for a laugh sometimes... :)

They are a load of laughs.

The funniest is the military advisor. He has the nickname of "Platehead." He drinks quite a bit.

The economic advisor is a weasel, and gives useless advice. "Build marketplaces," "build banks." As if you're not going to do that anyway.

The science advisor is the most worthless, and pretty much just tells you that you're either doing well or you can forget it.

The "Elvis" guy needs to go back to singing, or whatever it is he does and get out of the cabinet post.

The most entertaining council member is the diplomatic advisor. She's a very attractive female who pretty much says nothing at all whenever she says anything, and the science advisor and Platehead pretty much disagree with her on everything. She is at her best, however, during the period when you switch from a standard government and are in anarchy. Take a look at her then. She tosses her hair in the cutest way. :D

I've had the advisors switched to off for a long while. Now I'm going to have to check this out. :D

The High Council is not necessary at all. It is not needed to play Civ 2. If you use the No-CD patch (or a RIP), you will not have the High Council, Wonder Movies, and a couple other multimedia things. You do not need them to play. They are for amusement and entertainment only, and do not "help" you run the Empire.

:)

PS, Welcome to CFC.... I see this is your 2nd post!

I don't remember the hair toss, and I've watched her for a long, long time. I will have to go back and check too. Where was that civ2 disk...

The Elvis guy in Anarchy is very funny.Sadly, there is many high council passages or whatever I have never seen in an actual game.

The funniest thing I've ever seen in the High Council animations occurred when I was at war with every other civ in the game. The Military Advisor came out drunker than a skunk, with his mug firmly in hand. He stammered across the window, laughing the entire time, and exited the other side!
