What is the easiest victory condition for you to win?

I'd say Space Race is easiest. Oddly enough Diplo is hardest for me, but that's cause I never keep my reputation intact. All I ever do is war until the late Middle early Indutrial Ages.

Diplo is the easiest per-se, but it's not that easy, especially at higher levels.

Building the UN is a virtual necessity. Your rep starts lower and you can get a bum rap w/o making any mistake (trade deal busted due to war). If you fight someone you pretty much have to eliminate them. Even with all this, the first vote is always a stick one. You cannot be absolutely sure which way those fickle AI's are leaning.

Of course SS is the fallback if UN fails.

Has anyone ever tried doing conquest with domination enabled? I'd imagine it would be a liitle difficult

Not really. Just raze the cities instead of capturing them. And if you're going for a quick-conquest victory, you won't control enough of the world to trigger one -- as the AI won't have expanded fully.

To answer your question, yes :) Until recently (6 months or so), I found it really hard to get a domination victory -- and would win by conquest fairly regularly.

For me, cultural victory is the easiest, followed by domination. I have only won diplomatically twice.

For all of you people who said cultural, it's near impossible on Emperor. What level do you guys play when you win culturally?

It's very easy for me to get diplo on Emperor even with suffering a minor rep hit...

I find Diplomatic Victory to be the easiest, so I make sure to turn it off or build the UN and never allow an election.

Conquest isn't very hard for me. In Warlord and above, the AI players try to push you around with their demands, which I hate to give into. So I always just have a good military that I keep on hand or leave an unprotected settler near the AI, and they usually fight me, then I destroy them in the spirit of "self defense." Corruption isn't as bad and there's less rep hit.

Peaceful victories are hard to win for me because the AI players like to demand everything that they can from me. If I accept, I miss out on good things like luxuries, or they take a tech that I was going to sell to every civ, and they sell it instead. So I'm basically a punching bag for the AI until they destroy me (if I try to protect my cities with a million spearmen, I can't build anything else, and when protective units need resources, the AI gets rid of all of my resources for them.)

Space race is the easiest but I much prefer placing the world under my sword :)
