What is the funnest part/point of the game in your opinion?

Yep, like a lot of you it seems, my favourite moments come in the expansion phase, the game is wide open, lots of choices, lots of careful management, ancient-unit wars  , seeing my empire build up :king: , discovering new terrain (man look at that spot! I have to have a city there! quick settler, quick!:whipped: ).

Yeah! Keep those settlers coming! Expand, expand, expand!

starting a world war without having to declare it is fun...
I'm on the continent all to myself and twice larger than any AI (after defeating two AIs). I am most powerful, so the Arabs are very happy to sign MPP with me, however they got too impatient to fight somebody and declared war on me for some reason!!! So, I destroy their nave, get tons of cash and sign peace and then another MPP. This time they declare war on Germany and Carthage (two of three weakest civs). The strongest AI, who I was going to declare war against (hence the MPP) stands up for them and the Egypt (three cities left, but wants to fight) joins them!!! It's two on four, but since I am the strongest, it evens out and the fun begins!!!
Still playing that, halfway through the Iroquese territory. Taking my sweet time with bombers and artillery, slowly reducing their cities from sizes 20-25 to sizes 1-5 and then letting my MAs take them.
