What is your favorite civilization?

Mine would be the Greeks, since they are scientific (tech-o-rama) and commercial (less corruption), and since they get a kick-ass unit in the first era. Sorry, only the civs from vanilla III.

Egyptians. So-so UU, but killer trait combos. I have played several good games with them.

Russians: haven't played that many games yet, but three times I got 4-5 techs, a settler, 2-3 warriors and money from the goody huts, extra techs and cheap libraries/universities help too.

Oh, and the UU is not too bad at all (IMHO).

This is vanilla, correct? From the ones on that list, Persia. In C3C, though, it would definitely be the Iroquois (still from that list but totally different from the vanilla one.)

Undecided, since playing with the same civ every time just get me bored. Judging on succes however, makes me lean towards the Greeks.

Japanese, balanced traits, ideal for both warmongers and builders, and killer UU, for attack (invasions) or defense (defending cities AND/OR defensive war).
Have to say, the Militaristic trait is so-so, I can live without them, but Religious is just great: lots of culture, cheap happiness, and short periods of anarchy...

The French. Commercial & Industrious = for me. Great starting techs, a well timed decent UU, and I always seem to get ludicrously good culture with them.

gotta love the romans. they were great wariors and conquered the known world. also got a good UU that appears fairly early in the game.
