I already have the game. Bought it stupidly and play it with a 2800+, yuck! I need something with more umph and I'm buying a computer soon, what CPU do you have, and does it work well with MTW II? Please Respond soon as I need to decide quickly.

I have XP, 2 gigs of RAM, an XFX 8800GT XT, and a Q6600 2.4 ghz CPU and run the game at max.

! A (Q) 6600 is a quad, little over my budget... But thanks for the reply! :)

What is your budget? Also a Q6600 is a year or so old now, so the price should be cheaper. (A processor is probably going to run you $150-200, 250 or more for a new one)

Well you have to add in the rest of the computer, and the CPU should be about half the cost of the computer. So, at the very most, $150, I guess if I put in an extra $50, I could go iCore, but the computer for that would be hectic. So about $100/$150, barely $200.

The CPU ain't going to be half the cost, you also need the graphics card...

Already have one! An EVGA 8800 GS, not state of the art, but good enough for the game.

Aye it should be. Check www.tomshardware.com for good CPU charts, they have archived charts from different times of the year too going back at least a few (several?) years. Find a good dual core that performs well and is in your price range (it pays to search around and check multiple stores and websites for prices).

Actually, I'm a member @ that website! :) I go there on the occasion, thank you though!

That is a good enough Video Card.

A 2.4 ghz single core processor is more than enough.

Take my work for it, I've played on 4 different rigs and 2.4 is plenty.

Indeed, on the older comps I couldn't listen to music at the same time.

Now instead it's

Nega. ....... Nega ..... Nega

Link to video.

I can't get this song out of my head :cringe:

2,4 ghz is definately plenty, but dual core would be better (although I think M2 will only use 1 core, the other core can handle everything else :p

On low, maybe... I already play on low graphics, I want the nice textures and grass to look good during a battle.

GHz is not an accurate measurement of a CPU's pwer, for example some AMD CPUs have a lower GHz than Intel CPUs but out-perform them.

However a 2.4 ghz dual core will be sufficient for the game to run nicely with a good enough graphics card.

I always turn off or down grass, as most games it just looks stupid having grass suddenly end after X distance and it takes up a nice chunk of processing power that would be better used for everything else.
